HA HA MONO: Run for Miles 7"

Here is a record to make goth and early-80s synth fans drool. It's the only release from a UK band called Ha Ha Mono. It was released in 1982 on Lash-Up Records through the SRT custom pressing label. The song "Run for Miles" is a gloomy synth-driven masterpiece, while the track "Snake" is slightly more pop-sounding, but still a wonderful dark post punk track with a synth line that sounds like it's trying to charm the snake in the song's title. Definitely an excellent record, and one that deserves to be heard by a wider audience.

I like "Snake" far better, it is more atmospheric to me -- always have a problem with bumpy drums like on "Run For Miles". Anyway, thank you very much for this!

Hi,

I was the drummer on this single...known at the time as "Sud"...talking with the rhythm guitarist we reckon we should be due some royalty payments!!!...only joking...it's great to see some of our music appreciated, even if it is 27 years too late!! The single was a one off, produced shortly after we introduced synthesizers, previously being 2 guitars, bass and drums. Unfortunately our later music was never recorded. Thanks for including us in your blog.

Sud.
