First today is this rare release from an Australian post-punk band called Ducks in Formation. There isn't much info on these guys out there, and form what I can tell this is the only record they released. I hear similarities to Echo and the Bunnymen, early Church, and The Sound. I personally dig all three songs from this forgotten gem.

ReplyDeleteI agree, I did a weekly college radio show in NYC in the early 80's and pushed Darkness Falls a lot since I thought they resembled The Sound back then and our station had a major crush on them but couldn't get much interest and with no followup record as far as I knew slowly pushed the record out of my playlist...too bad... I did think they were from New Zealand though ...but on an Aussie label
